Warm up

I really have no ideas as to what I would like to do when I grow up, I enjoy math, history and science, so I could possibly go into an engineering job. I think that if I could choose anywhere, I would go into the engineering field. I want to go into college, definitely, but I still am trying to discover exactly what I would like to do. I think that location, teachers, and classes are very important when choosing a college. If you choose one that has hardly anything that you want then you probably will not get the greatest education and not be able to do as well as you could have on your job. Along with cost, there are still many options to consider when choosing a college.

Fire

Fire, written by Kristin Cashore, tells the story of the last human monster alive in the Dells. Her father unwillingly produced her, and was unable to kill her once she was alive, but none the less, he tried to turn her wicked as soon as he could. Human monsters can alter the thoughts of minds, making weak minded people believe what the want them to. Possessing unnatural beauty Fire is often sought after by many men, but when a bandit she is interrogating is shot, people realize that hard times could be approaching. When Fire aids the king in discovering his enemies' plots, she is taken away and held captive by the only graceling in the Dells. After a daring escape she is found by her guards, that is as far as I have gotten. So far I have liked the book immensely much as I did Graceling. She uses action and humor to keep the reader hooked, along with flawless story lines.

Technology

Technology has changed our lives in several ways, one of the biggest ways, and one that happened just recently was getting the netbooks. One class, Mr. Lawton had us write a paragraph for homework, he received only one hand written paper, the rest where emailed to him, all due to the fact that we had netbooks. Communication has become infinitely more easier, with phones, text messages, emails, and IMing. Now companies can notify every employee about a meeting in less than 20 seconds.Technology has affected us all, in little ways, and in big ways, and ways that seem normal to us as everyday life.
